You must obtain explicit customer authorization to access their data through SMT. Authorizations are valid for up to 12, 24, or 36 months, and customers may end or modify them at any time by following the process outlined in the Smart Meter Texas User Guide.
Customers can terminate data access agreements at any time by notifying Energy Ego or modifying their authorization settings on Smart Meter Texas.
